Better Equalisers?

Just joined the thread, first time poster.
Does anybody have any recommendations for a better third-party equaliser, or tips for using the M-Class? I am a beginner in producing music and I have used pretty much all DAWs and have settled with Reason as I find it to be the best of all, with the only downside I’ve encountered so far, the default equaliser. I use a lot of EQ fading in my productions where I automate the frequency of a low pass filter to have the track fade in or out at points throughout the production, but with the default reason equalisers, it’s very difficult for me to achieve my desired effect as opposed to the Ableton or FL studio parametric EQ device.
Am I using the M-Class wrong? Or is there a better alternative plug in I can buy?
