Yesterday i installed an aftermarket CarPlay MMI box in my 2014 BMW F34 with NBT.. But after installation I started having issues with my original iDrive system.

The aftermarket module functions such as CarPlay are working correctly, but many original BMW iDrive functions stopped working:

• No date and time displayed
• Trip computer not showing data
• HUD settings not working
• Instrument cluster settings not working
• Vehicle information missing

This looks like a CAN bus or firmware compatibility issue.

Has anyone experienced something similar with these generic BMW MMI boxes?
Was the issue related to coding, CAN communication, harness, or firmware?

Any help appreciated.
