Kia ora team,

Looking for some ideas on improving the front entrance and overall curb appeal of our place.

At the moment, the main entry is pretty awkward, you have to go up stairs and around the side of the house (past the bedroom on the left) to get to the front door. It’s not obvious from the street and doesn’t feel like a proper front entrance.

We’re open to changing things up and would really value suggestions on where you think a new front door could go.

Current thoughts (but very open to better ideas):

• Potentially on the right-hand side of the house with a small porch
• Maybe creating a hallway between the far-right and middle bedroom to support a new entry

Would love to hear:

• Where you’d position the front door based on this kind of layout
• Whether adding a porch/hallway makes sense or is overkill
• Any design ideas that worked well in similar NZ homes
