I'm having an external meter install next week (by E.on).

It's to replace two internal meters, by different energy suppliers (one E.on, the other EDF). Legacy from the previous owner.

But I can't for the life of me convince EDF (their meter powers nothing) to a) sign me up as a customer, b) remove the meter.

Is this going to derail my meter installation plans next week?

Can E.on remove EDFs meter? Can it stay in place but downstream of the new meter?

I appreciate these are all questions for Eon, but thought the answer might be known by someone on here.

I was trying to work out why my mower doesn't cut the dandelions down.

My garden is a sea of with puffy balls and the mower sees them as an obstacle and avoids them.

As my gardens max out my mowers, the lawns aren't cut every day and what I'm finding is the dandelions shoot up between cuts, and then their presence is protected by the obstacle avoidance.

I can't really turn obstacle avoidance off as the kids are constantly leaving toys out.

Any suggestions?

I want to create an automation that basically clicks continue current task on a Luba 2X every 5 minutes or so. I am hoping it will solve all my problems.

In the pymammotion integration in HA, I can click on the mower status, and click continue, and it works. The mower gets the message.

But when I try to build an automation for it, I can't find a continue action. Closest I can find is restart mower. Which does indeed, restart the mower.

Is it just not developed enough yet for these controls?

The readme says you can

  • Start, stop, pause, and dock the mower

I just can't find these options when building the automation in HA. Any tips?

Other than installation costs are there any disadvantages to cascade heat pumps (i.e. running two to meet heatloss).

In my case they would be unequal size.

As I see it the advantages are.

Resilience if one breaks.

Impressive modulation.

Main disadvantage is cost of the units?

Anything else I should be aware of.

Does COP suffer for example?
