I’ll go first… moved into a new house and immediately locked myself out like an idiot. Tried climbing in through a hip-height window, lost my footing on the way through, fell backwards, and my knee went the opposite direction to the rest of me when I landed. One loud pop and my ACL was gone. I still had to army crawl through the window with a busted knee to get to my phone and call for help.

I need a better story to tell

I’m almost three weeks post-op. While the physical pain has been tough, my mental health has taken a real downturn this past week. I’ve been avoiding and numbing a lot of things for most of my life and being stuck at home alone with so much time to myself hasn’t been good for me. The idea that it will take months or years to feel like myself again is really overwhelming.
What are some things that actually helped support your mental health during recovery?
