How do you cure or treat this kind of perioral dermatitis?
Help me please. How do you cure or treat this kind of perioral dermatitis? I've been dealing with dryness and flakiness around my mouth for almost two years now. My GP said it's perioral dermatitis and prescribed metronidazole, but it didn't work and actually broke me out really badly.
Right now, I don't use a cleanser in the morning.
At night, since I wear makeup, I remove it with Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water, rinse it off in the shower, then apply Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream on the dry, flaky areas, but the dryness still doesn't go away at all. I used to double cleanse with a Cetaphil cleanser before, but it made my skin even drier.
I also tried La Roche-Posay Cicaplast, Aveene Cicalfate, Cerave moisturizing cream, but it didn't work for me either.
Any suggestions from people who have dealt with the same condition?
