Yesterday I finished watching Unchosen, and I have so many thoughts and questions. I always like reading discussions about characters, but this time I didn’t find much on Reddit, so let’s make this a space to share our thoughts.
I’ll start with Rosie. I really liked her rebellious side : how she didn’t turn her back on Isaac in the church, how she went looking for Grace despite what others said, and how she helped Isaac escape.
When Sam stopped their car and her husband told her to run, I was like: take the car, girl. But it probably would have made him even angrier, and he might have done the same thing to her that he did to Isaac. Still, she ran off to look for the van keys. 😅 Why didn’t she just run back to her car, which was already on the road? That felt weird to me.
It also seemed kind of illogical that the girl in the store googled Sam, found the article about him being an escaped murderer, and didn’t inform the police, especially since Rosie was acting suspiciously and might have known something.
Also, Charlie (Isaac’s girlfriend) would probably have been aware something was wrong, since Isaac was so worried. She could have contacted the police too. And even Mrs. Philips’s son might have convinced them to call the cops. Rosie would probably have had to explain why she ran away when she showed up at his house.
I know Rosie was scared because Sam warned her about the consequences of lying to the police and covering for him, but maybe she could have tried to make some kind of deal with the police by telling them who he really is.
Let’s continue talking about the other characters in the comments.
