My mother was a nurse in a GP surgery in the 1980s, then was let go whilst in a coma and hasn't received an NHS pension since. Would she have been considered a contractor to the NHS, or an NHS employee? Am wondering if it's worth looking into, have requested tax records but am struggling with speaking to NHSBSA about her pension as we have no employment records anymore. Thanks.
