Need laminate recommendation for kid's study table, anti-glare + heat resistant + survives a 9-year-old??

Building a custom study + storage unit for guest kids / and myself for studying.

My requirements are simple, they should be matte / anti-glare so the screen reflection doesn't strain eyes, heat resistant and easy to wipe.

Carpenter is suggesting whatever's "in stock" but I want to choose smart. What laminate would you guys put on a study table that gets used hard?

Been reading about the government pushing semiconductor fabs in places like Dholera and Sanand. Massive capital, long timelines, and from what I understand, not exactly cutting-edge nodes. At the same time, globally most capital + talent seems to be flowing into AI software and models.

So I’m trying to understand the strategy here.

Is this about long-term sovereignty (having our own manufacturing)? or are we allocating capital to something that may not be globally competitive?

how people here see it, especially folks closer to semiconductors / policy…

everyone is doing the same glossy white/grey handleless kitchen right now. every single flat. it looks trendy today but this is giving me strong 2015-era glossy brown vibes

remember when every kitchen had that dark brown glossy laminate? yeah exactly

my suggestion for anyone getting interiors done now: go matte, go neutral, go textured, explore some options from premium brands like royale touche, greenlam etc. these finishes age way better than anything glossy

what do you think - will today's kitchens look dated soon?
