I’ve been tracking fuel price movements across Melbourne suburbs and noticed some surprisingly consistent patterns.
Over the last 30 days:
• Cheapest average suburbs:
- Sunshine
- Laverton
- Deer Park
• Most expensive:
- South Yarra
- Brighton
- Richmond
What surprised me most was that some suburbs stayed 8–15c/L apart almost permanently.
I also noticed:
- airport corridor stations spike earlier
- inner-city stations lag cycle resets
- western suburbs often recover first after price jumps
I turned the tracking into a live map/dashboard because I got tired of checking multiple apps.
Curious if anyone else has noticed weird pricing patterns in their area?
