I have always wanted a Clumber but finding a responsible breeder seems impossible. I know the breed club website has a breeder list but the ones I've emailed haven’t responded to me. I’m also not in a location where it would be easy to travel to a dog show to meet breeders (although that’s something I’d like to do).
I'm being extra cautious because I got scammed out of a $500 deposit for a puppy last year on AKC Marketplace. Everything seemed legit until the breeder ghosted me after I sent the deposit.
GoodDog keeps coming up when I research and there are actually a few Clumber Good Dog breeders who look reputable and have the right health testing. But when I research reviews of the app itself it's all over the place. Some people seem to have great experiences while others say it really depends on the actual breeder you pick.
Has anyone here used Good Dog to find their breeder? I’m hoping to hear some real experiences before I start reaching out to people on there.
