Serviceman refusing to repair

Hello Folks,

I have frigidaire gcwm3067afb - a combo microwave/oven. Builder installed it. The pigtail behind has been connected to a electrical outlet at the bottom which prevent a service person to pull the appliance forward for repairs.

The serviceman said

  1. They cannot disconnect it

  2. The "installation" is not as per the manual. The pigtail should be connected to an outlet from above the microwave so that they dont have to disconnect any electrical outlet

I cannot bug the builder now since house is 2 years old. What options do I have?

My options/proposals

  1. Hire an electrician to move the electrical outlet above the microwave and connect the pigtail (that way there is a enough slack to pull it out)

  2. Hire and electrician to extend the big tail at the bottom

My thoughts

  1. Why an appliance person is not qualified to do a disconnect

  2. Is it really a incorrect installation

  3. Is the service person being lazy

Actions

  1. Can I escalate this issue to someone at Electrolux to repair it in current state?

I am in Washington state
