The interviewer keeps asking about who’s the person runs the department, as they were in the company like 10 years ago. I provided a name and they didn’t recognize, and then they ask who runs the group, I provided a name and they directly say no I don’t think this is right. There are a shit ton of reorganization and integration inside of the firm over the course of the decade. The person I mentioned probably shifted the business arm already. Who the fuck knows what their function was like 10 years ago.

The worst case is that they are prob gonna sniff around about me with the their previous colleagues and jeopardize my current position. I am like pretty sure they will do that even they have no intention to hire me.

Also the ridiculous part is that I flagged this to the HR that my focus is in a different asset vertical even it’s the same type of product and cross checked if they want the interview to be scheduled. And of course HR does HR things and say they would like to speak with you without laying out the details. There is a shit ton of disconnections throughout the interview. The actual interview is way worse than I even imagined, even I saw this coming. The worst part is that they are prob gonna sniff around asking about me even they have no intention of hiring me.

I saw extreme or absurd cases regarding to violence, foolish crimes, flawed management, poor coordination, messy execution, low efficiency, chaotic response etc somehow always occur to this state coincidently. It’s too coincidental until it’s not

I live on the first floor and there are in total four windows in this fucking infested unit. Each window faces pigeons packed backyard. I refrain from opening the windows otherwise I will cough so hard cuz the dust, feathers. One time o forgot to close the window before go to sleep and woke up cough non stop for straight 10 min

I want to throw bunches of chemical coated nuts in the backyard, so they can finally stop cooing, flying around, and nesting in residential area

I feel like Buy-side firm requirements are extremely detailed and specific compared to sell-side firms.

I can comfortably switch asset verticals across sell-side firms.

But if my focus deviates even slightly from the deals a buy-side firm is currently working on, I don’t even want to interview with them like why bother?
