In France at the moment for a culinary course. The course of 5.5 months long and I got a 7 month VLS-TS that accounts for a 4 week internship that is facilitated by the institute.

Now the institute is giving me an option of increasing the duration of the internship to 8 weeks OR 6 months. I want to apply for the 6 month option but I'm not sure about the Visa extension intricacies.

How can I go about this? Do I get the internship first and then apply for a visa extension or vice versa? If its visa extension first and then a long internship application then on what grounds will they extend my visa?

Any insights into the timeline for visa extension will also be helpful.
