I wanna make a auto sorter with copper golems but i heard that the golem forgets which chests it has checked after opening 10 chests does it mean it will constantly keep checking those chest or will it eventually check every chest regardless and also is there a certain range they can go looking for a chest with the item they have

So I was playing mc bedrock edition when I went to go to the end but I got stuck on the end loading screen for like 2 minutes to I pushed alt f4 and when I loaded the world back up it spawned me right in front of the staircase up to the portal with a nether portal surrounding me and the nether portal actually works am I the first person to get this glitch? I tested it out on 2 other worlds and it did the exact same thing
