So I’ve been gradually learning jump rope for almost a year, and make my rope shorter every time I reach a new milestone. At this point, my rope reaches my stomach (with one foot measuring/ my hips (with two foot measuring).
Every-time I made the rope shorter, it feels like I got reset to a beginner again. I’d have to learn how to position my arms relative to my body proportions, and my rope consistency was at level 1 again. But I just assumed that was part of the craft.

For example, before I cut my length shorter this time, I could consistently hop for 5+ minutes straight, even reached 1000+ hops before stopping a couple times. Now at my current length, I have to figure out my form again and consistently jumping for 2 minutes straight is a major challenge.

Is this supposed to happen every time you cut your rope length or is it just a me problem?

In this arc we've seen 2 moments where an intelligent character or group of characters discussed a major, destructive event happening in the future. Do you think any of the two have a possibility of actually happening? Do you agree with the general idea of their theories, but with your own modifications? How would these predictions actually play out in story?

Ship Sinking - Mizaistom

Mizaistorm doesn't get too specific, but he says he believes the crimes of serial killers (hei-ly) will multiply to the point of mass chaos until it reaches a breaking point. He even says at the end of his talk:

Tserriednich's friend group believes multiple organizations on the boat will join together to get rid of the mafia, and to fight back the mafia will work the proletariat of the lower tiers utilizing strength in numbers.

Do you guys think either of these will happen?

I’ll try to keep it as concise as possible.

The Former Boss

To Jumpstart into things, I think the former Hei-ly boss was a flesh collector. Togashi made sure to emphasize the personal interest of the two other mafia bosses, Onior and Brocco

https://preview.redd.it/195j60u82kyg1.jpg?width=852&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c1037678251676b887a0543f0892a55f19abae4

Well, I think it would be fitting if the pattern continued with the original Hei-ly leader having his own weird interest,  collecting human trophies. It would make sense that the leader of the Hei-ly would have at least something in common with his benefactor, Tserriednich. Of course, it doesnt have to specifically be flesh collecting, but I do think it had to do with some sick twisted collection related to humans.

Original Hei-ly

Past their original leader, we need to parse what we can of what, and who made up the former Hei-ly.

Risnorth.

The famous philanthropist with the distinctive mole who was shown in the Troupe flashback. Do we have any direct confirmation he is Hei-ly? No. But it makes perfect sense that a philanthropist getting major tv focus on Kakin’s boat was also a known citizen of Kakin. If we assume he is related to Kakin in anyway, and we know how the dark bely of Kakin is deeply balanced and intertwined, I have a hard time believing Rinsowrth and his goons were some hot shot group acting outside the existing systems of Kakin.

https://preview.redd.it/cdoxmkgp3kyg1.jpg?width=155&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c904f93a49ddddab9a289a1afb62fc7a453c7511

No, I think he was part of that existing system in Hei-ly. Besides, him working with the tattoo guy even furthers this.

The tattoo guy

https://preview.redd.it/d096qam04kyg1.jpg?width=362&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8df7a99b74e4d98ed16ca609a451b78328bdc9d4

Do we know for sure that the tattoo guy in the flashback is the same tattoo guy we know now? NO. But the tattoos (like Rinsworth’s mole) is a distinctive part of his character. In an arc where everyone is wearing a suit or covered up, the tattoo guy sticks out like a sore thumb. The difference in look could just be through shaving his head.

https://preview.redd.it/gvgnilb84kyg1.jpg?width=161&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bfeb8c327444542e8716d4931c9aeb4a52490914

Any other difference just seem like art style change and stylistic choices considering how small of a glimpse we get at tattoo guy in the flashback chapter, no different than art of old Chrollo vs Hisoka fight Chrollo.

Patterns of Hei-ly trafficking

With that established, if we operate under the assumption that Risnorth was Hei-ly (alongside tattoo guy), what were they doing in Meteor City? Well, we know Hei-ly do human trafficking. In Morena’s backstory, we know the place where they hold their “meats” Is also what they use as a human trafficking base. I wouldn’t be shocked if they were also trafficking meteor city kids.

https://preview.redd.it/5uxgs8fs4kyg1.jpg?width=158&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fe1db2298f6c4737004bb2772af2d2a34d53a1ff

In fact, we’ve seen another foundation mentioned much earlier in the arc. The RG foundation. I assumed the RG stood for Ryūseigai, which is Meteor City, but it is too early to be sure. I'm not close to the first person to bring this up. But it does imply that creepy foundations aren’t some new thing in Kakin.

https://preview.redd.it/8kptgfta5kyg1.jpg?width=454&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c30edc72f866809a4b1147e78c6b0c5e9084798e

So what do I think? I think the trafficking base they had was also where they brought meteor city kids

The Main Point

With all this established, let’s put it all together. The Hei-ly leader was a sicko who collected human trophies. Risnorth and tattoo guy, the men responsible for Sarasa’s death were Hei-ly. In other words, the sickness runs MUCH Deeper than just Rinsowrth. IF the troupe were serious about their mission, then Risnorth couldn’t be their only major kill. No, tattoo guy, the Hei-ly leader, the HEi-ly as a whole, should ALSO be dead. Yet we know the original Hei-ly have been running normally up until Morena's massacre. We also know the tattoo guy is still alive.

https://preview.redd.it/zogilt9n5kyg1.jpg?width=729&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c60f0bd98b15c591e2df0126748ca930388f8ca4

DO we really think the Troupe, who completely massacred the Kurta,  would show mercy to the group that killed their childhood friend? No. I mean, I do think the Hei-ly HAD nen users in their group, considering the other two mafia do too. But enough to stop the troupe? Nope.

Why?

That leaves the obvious. Why didn’t the troupe completely finish the job? Why would the troupe stop at Risnorth? Well, it’s not because the hei-ly were super strong and too scary for the troupe. But we have options:

  • The troupe were misdirected and/or tricked to look a different away, enough that they wouldn’t have figured out the connection to the Hei-ly, maybe thinking Rinsowrth was acting on his own or with someone else. The most likely option. Because the troupe is so strong, the only way too survive them as targeted fodder is through manipulation. Maybe a nen user on the Hei-ly payroll helped. Maybe they used the help of someone the troupe knows. Maybe they were in cahoots with the meteor city elders, who knows.
  • They learned something on their path to vengeance that made them stop caring to take out their anger past Risnorth. Could be possible, but it would have to be something extremely major, and I can't imagine anything stopping the troupe, who treat fodder like video game npcs, from murdering their best friends sick killers.
  • They did eradicate the Hei-ly, but they were replaced with new people to keep the business going (until Morena came around of course). Could be possible, but I think the other mafia would be Much much more fearful of the troupe if that happened. The current leaders seem to think they can at least somewhat manipulate the troupe.

https://preview.redd.it/anfezuye8kyg1.jpg?width=872&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33b3f833c2d5eecb62887d64b59a9f60bb37b6ae

Some may say, if the troupe knew of the previous Hei-ly (and the dirtiness of underground kakin) , they would show a lot more reactions to everything going on right now. But the troupe can be very casual about things. Chrollo himself showed no reaction to the Risnorth news segment, he just went along his business. At the same time, it's not like the troupe, or the other kakin mafia, are acting like they have any major previous connections to each other.

https://preview.redd.it/5l1l1cnj6kyg1.jpg?width=774&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d5e8a75fb404083b7bb926e31c9c54861fe9862

Narrative Weight

I think another important question to ask is, if all of this Is true, what narrative importance does it have? Especially if, the original Hei-ly are all dead and gone due to Morena? And as someone who doesnt subscribe to any Tserriednich connected to Sarasa theory (outside of him maybe watching her black market tape), it’s hard to figure out. The easiest explanation is that it opens an epiphany for chrollo and the troupe.

https://preview.redd.it/w0asg94z6kyg1.jpg?width=896&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74665bc14300f72eceefdffea8be2c2ca5ad53af

That they’ve been lost without even fulfilling their main mission, and even if the Hei-ly that killed Sarasa is dead, the system (Kakin) that supported their actions still is alive, and they can help put an end to it. Maybe It can serve as spiritual weight if the troupe ever faces Tserriendich because he represents all the evils of Kakin in one person. or who knows, maybe the original Hei-ly leader is alive and somehow playing 5d mind games on the boat.

What do you guys think?
