Wireless headphones for desktop use - gaming, movies
Budget is ideally in the 200-300€ range, but I am willing to consider beyond that to ~500€. Central Europe.
I currently have the AKG N9 Hybrids, owned them for a few weeks now, and while I've been very happy with their audio, unfortunately I started experiencing some connectivity issues in the last 2 weeks. They also have what I assume to be a very aggressive sleep mode/battery saving feature that eats the first 1-2 seconds of audio when there isn't being any played previously. While this was pretty annoying I could have lived with it, but now with the connectivity issues I've decided to return them.
- Don't need a mic (Have a standalone one already)
- I need very low latency - I tried the Sennheiser Momentum 4 with BTD700 dongle before the AKG N9 Hybrids and still found the latency to be too bad/noticeable. At this point I believe Bluetooth isn't really an option and I do need 2.4ghz (which is why I tried the AKG N9 Hybrids).
- But I still want good sound quality, I'm aware 2.4gz is mostly used by gaming headsets but those tend to have very bad sound quality.
- They need to be decently comfortable - I tried the Audeze Maxwell a few years ago and they were definitely too uncomfortable (too heavy and IIRC, the clamp force was also a bit much, but not sure on that one anymore)
- Strong battery life (40h+) would be very nice to have, but ultimately optional
