A simple random encounter has turned into a pretty interesting situation and I would like some advice.
Near the ruins of Berez there is a phase spider encounter where one of my PCs was downed (unconscious and paralyzed) and the spiders pulled him into the ethereal realm and are now running hastily to their den have their meal. The remaining PCs are in hot pursuit using the mirror from the burgomasters son in Vallaki (reloaded) to see into the ethereal realm and chase them. They can't travel to the ethereal realm on their own and the captured PC will be devoured alive within one hour.
Here I'm thinking the remaining PCs will go see the baba Lysaga and ask for help... What would she ask for in exchange for help? The stakes for the PCs are quite high (i.e. certain death) so it could be pretty steep and they would still accept. Thoughts? I'm open to any ideas including NPC sacrifice, PC character consequences, etc. Thanks for your time and insights!
