Hey guys, so i’m deciding on my first automatic and Swiss watch and currently am confused between Longines Spirit Zulu Time and Longines Hydroconquest.

Which one looks better on my 6.5 inch wrists? For reference, I am 30 years old and work in B2B sales of financial products. The Zulu Time is in 39 mm, and the Blue HC is in 39 mm as well. The Grey and Black Mesh HC is in 42 mm, as they didn’t have the smaller size.

If I get Zulu, it will be in Black/Black with the (rose)gold accents or Green/Anthracite with gold accents. If I get HC, it will be Grey/Black or Blue/Blue. Maybe Black/Black for the safest option. This watch will be worn with both formals as well as casuals.

Zulu time has long lugs and the bracelet isn’t as good as the new HC though it has a more detailed dial. HC is really good for the price and looks very much like a Rolex.

This is going to be my daily wear watch. This is going to be a long term purchase so definitely something which I am going to be wearing for the next 10-15 years. I have been wearing my Seiko classic quartz for 13 years now.

I am also evaluating other options such as Omega constellation quartz, grand seiko snowflake quartz, tudor royal, oris aquis, rado captain cook and maybe some tudor black bay model (if heavily discounted last gen version is available)

Cheers and TIA!
