Teeth cleaning for cats

My cat needs to have his teeth cleaned, and my current vet said it’d cost me $1000-$1500. Is this reasonable? Are there good vets in town that aren’t as expensive?

I’ve called around, and it sounds like every other vet clinic wants me to come in for a new client exam before they’ll tell me the potential cost. I don’t really have the money to be throwing around on appointments like that, especially if they’re just going to give me the same estimate.

Either way, I’m willing to pay what I have to. Just trying to see if there are cheaper options. Any input is appreciated!

For those of you who work/have worked at Singota Solutions, what are your thoughts? Is it a good place to work?

For those who live in Bloomington & commute to Lilly in Indy, is it worth it?

Posting in preparation for the Novo layoff.
