Hi I’m new here. This started about two months ago, I started having symptoms of inflammation, irritation, itchiness and dryness right above my lash line on my lid. I thought it was a stye at first. It started in my right eye and then a month later it happened to my left. I went to urgent care a few days ago and the doctor confirmed that it was blepharitis and said there’s something i’ve changed in the last 2 months that is causing the allergy but I haven’t changed a single thing in my makeup or skincare. I have 3 dogs and I work at a grooming place where I bathe dogs and i’ve never had any issues until now. Anyways, I was prescribed Erythromycin Ophthalmic ointment to use 3 times a day for a week, I threw out all my old makeup incase any was expired and I got a new mascara with non-irritating ingredients (although I am taking a break from using mascara right now) . I use a heating mask for warm compress on my eyes as well as ocusoft tea tree oil eye scrubs and vaseline. Nothing seems to be helping the itch. The itchiness is my biggest problem. It flares up the most at night for some reason. I just don’t understand what caused this. Does this ever go away? What caused this for ya’ll? Any advice or help is welcome.
