So it was Sunday and I had to go to the hospital with one of my kids. So I was already agitated.

While waiting for our turn I made the mistake of reading my emails. Keep in mind it was a SUNDAY!

So my colleague that I don’t have to deal often with writes me like ten emails in a row. 9/10 were work related. Things he needed to finish my request.

But in between was one mail where he said he made an official complaint against me with referring to the paragraphs in our workplace handbook. Which included harassment. Hostile workplace.

I couldn’t believe my eyes and was not sure what he meant as I met him 3 times in person and for the rest just polite emails.

I READ ALL THE EMAILS BETWEEN US. ALL OF THEM.

And then I found the culprit … in ONE email I wrote his name with a small letter. I wish I was kidding. I immediately forwarded the email to my supervisor.

What happened then:

My supervisor (coolest boss ever) said relax and she will handle it. She talked to his supervisor who is a zero BS person and doesn’t want to deal with stuff like that. His supervisor ripped him a new one. Since then he is super friendly to me but I refuse to deal with him anymore.

What kind of issues do you have as a person when you complain about a single letter. I had my name completely spelled wrong. I was addressed as a male .. so what … I couldn’t care less. Get a freaking life.
