I (28 canadian) am in france on a WHV. I got into a uni program and an alternance. My question: my visa vacance-travail expires January 4 2027 but my school starts earlier september 14 2026. I'm studying in paris and I know the paris prefecture is stubborn about changement de statut... Can I continue on my WHV and then apply for the carte de sejour temporaire etudiant after my current visa expires (jeune canadien accord)? Or should I go home and reapply entirely for a new student visa? Or should I stop asking reddit and seek legal help? Thanks!
