Should I leave my 8-year construction career for Arcadis?
I’m currently employed at one of the biggest construction companies in the Philippines and have been with them for almost 8 years. I started as a Quantity Surveyor, then moved to Business Development around 5 years ago, handling both local and overseas projects, and honestly, I’ve been happy with it.
Recently, our company announced a rotational work schedule where employees are required to go on forced off-duty for 2 weeks each month. I’m not included, but it still made me question the company’s direction and stability.
Now, I received an offer from Arcadis for a Senior Proposal role. The salary and benefits are better, plus it’s a hybrid setup.
I’m torn because I’ve been loyal to my current company for years, but at the same time, this feels like a good opportunity for growth and better work-life balance.
For those currently working or who previously worked at Arcadis, kamusta naman yung culture, workload, and stability? Okay ba yung night shift setup in the long run? Also, nasa tamang path pa ba ako? Haha
