Post-stakeout questions

Hello, I just had a boundary stakeout performed at my house I bought about 1.5 years ago. This was just for my own knowledge and didn't arise from any dispute. The stakes are clear and I don't have any problems with the results. The property is ~0.33 acres.

Obviously, the stakes won't last forever. Additionally, I already have a fence and treed buffer offset within the property line. But now I am imagining the scenario I hope never happens: a neighbor tries to do something on my property.

For example, several weeks ago I had a large branch come down into my neighbors property. Nothing damaged, no issues. They had a crew come in with chainsaws to cut it up and haul it off. With the new stakeout, I can see they actually cut a few small trees on my property. This is fine and not something worth escalating, but if something like this happens in the future now that I know my boundary, how does one "prove" the property line? 8 am woken up by chainsaws and a bunch of guys who don't know me from Adam, do I run out there and tell them to stop as I try to dig up my corner pin? Does everyone stand around while I hold a string from one pin to another? If they say fuck off, what would a police officer need to see? I would like to avoid paying for another stakeout again in the future if possible.

Considering this is a situation every homeowner could face, I'm probably being panicky as a first time homeowner/receiver of a survey. But I would appreciate any advice.
