I have an external drive set at /media/robert/Expansion1

IF I manually download a torrent, I can download it to any folder I want on this partition. If I use the RSS reader to download a torrent automatically, it fails with permission denied.

Permissions are set as follows

drwxr-xr-x 2 robert robert 262144 Oct 17 2025 '$RECYCLE.BIN'
drwxr-xr-x 26 robert robert 262144 May 12 05:55 1Movies
drwxr-xr-x 17 robert robert 262144 May 10 22:18 1Pictures

Keep in mind, I know just enough to be dangerous.

I thought sudo chmod 777 /media/robert/Expansion1 would change permissions to let everyone have full access, but it didn't, or did I misread something?
