first credit card and already messed up, help?
Hi smart people, I’m a stupid 25 year old who has never had a credit card and has no credit to my name. I decided it was finally time to get one and when searching this subreddit for which ones are best I decided on Capital One Quicksilver. I went to the website, got approved, and card was on its way! Except when it arrived I realized it was NOT *Capital* One, it was *Credit* One even though they have same logo and the card looks exactly the same. I NEVER activated it, and instead went to the real Capital One website to get the actual card I wanted in the first place. However, today Credit One sent me a credit card statement for $75. I never activated the card, and I was never told I had an account or anything. I’m extremely confused and feel like a massive idiot. I never wanted this card in the first place, yet it’s causing me trouble anyways. I can’t find a number or email to contact this place in the letters either. What do I do? I don’t want to ruin my credit, I haven’t even got any yet.
