Vet can’t help my cat

Hello, I am desperate to find answers for my poor Suki girl. She is a 3 year old black domestic short hair who randomly got these horrible scabs which the veterinarian she goes to said is allergies. She's had her ear clipped sent to a lab just to tell me she's allergic to something. She's had blood panels, fine. She's had steroid injections on and off which help for a couple weeks then it gets bad again. It only affects her head, ear, and chin. She has an appetite and eats every day without missing a meal. Also she's indoor only. No ear mites, no fleas. Since this has all started I've noticed it has changed her temperament, my baby acts like a scaredy cat if I make a movement that is too fast, I feel like she's in pain also. The inside of her mouth is extremely inflamed also. The vet just keeps giving me steroid pills along with the injection every other month because it can cause diabetes which of course I'm trying to avoid. Does anyone have any advice?

Poster age:32
Country: United States
Vet info: she’s been to the vet more times than I can count
Main issue: scabs on head, neck, chin, ears, gums red and inflamed
Cat age: 3
Cat sex: spayed female
Financial situation: running low on funds, spent over $1,000 for no true answers

EDIT-

I am blown away by all the comments I’ve received, I have ready every single one. Thank you so much to everyone especially the ones who took the time to share your own story and experiences with your kitty’s. It means a lot to me and Suki ❤️

She has an appointment with a new doc and dermatologist 5/18 to hopefully get answers and relief, she’s been in pain for so long and I just want her to feel better.

I have started a raiser if anyone could help, thank you all again so much!
