Why do boomers seem ignorant of, or hostile to, the concepts of introspection and self-reflection?

I’m asking in earnest here, because I’m genuinely curious. It seems like when a Gen-Xer, Millennial, Gen Zer, etc. goes through a tough situation, at some point we’ll analyze what happened and think things like “did I add to that situation?” “Could I have handled it better?” “What if I’m wrong about this?”

It seems like boomers, on the other hand, view themselves as infallible and don’t even consider the concept that they could have been wrong in a given situation. It’s like they believe they learned all of life’s answers at 18, and haven’t been wrong since.

Obviously this is all anecdotal, and comes solely from my interactions, but it really seems like boomers are the least introspective people to ever live. They refuse to acknowledge their flaws or work on themselves.

Are there any boomers on here who can shed some light on this?
