I wanted to get some textbooks since I do better with physical books rather than constantly relying on pdf copies of textbooks and I figured the end of the spring semester is a great time to pick up used textbooks

I got what I thought were some pretty good deals but now I'm worried I got books from droppshippers?

I understood that it was multiple shippers and that quality wouldn't be perfect (especially for the older textbooks)

I really had no idea this was a concern, but they weren't particularly expensive, the most expensive was 32$ so I don't even think that it would be a profitable to dropship a textbook for 7$

But I got a little worried when two of the shippers marked it as shipped immediately after I ordered... Which led me down the rabbit hole

Should I cancel the orders from the two sellers that haven't "shipped" or am I just over thinking things they're all five stars but have overly huge stocks in hindsight

Any advice or anecdotal experience is welcome.

The shops are called:

BooksRun from Pa

Greenworld books from tx

World of Books (Second Sale) Il

Thriftbooks -Atlanta Austell, Ga

I don't online shop much but I feel embarrassed that I didn't see any signs 🫤

I was wondering if anyone had any recs, even US based stores tend to focus on mostly Japanese or South Korean brands. And of course the nature themed stationery focuses on animals and plants from those regions

Which is pretty, but I was wondering if anyone has any recs for other animals. etsy is kind of hard to navigate and inefficient because then you have to put together a whole mess of stores.

Jaguars, birds (all), aquatic mammals, crocodilians, birds again but emphasis on the flightless birds, earthworms, horseshoe crabs

These are just a few of the animals I'm looking for. Cryptids and aliens aren't officially animals but I'm into those too, but those are kind of a toss-up on stationery.

Decomposition notebooks are an example of an American brand that features nature from the Americas. if u like the recycled stuff theyre a good option (Staples has them for like twice the price everyone else *heads up*) If ifind some more brands I'll update here, but I also appreciate any reccs

i wish i was craftier or artier and i could just make my own stuff...
