Offered to fix a Coworker’s keyboard

Was not sure what flair to use for this, meme or discussion. Since it’s sort of funny, went with meme.

Background: I work at a tech store and we frequently talk about things that we have and share information about what is working well and help each other shop for new things.

A coworker of mine mentioned how they have a keyboard just lying around and the windows key wasn’t working. Me being a nerd that enjoys silly projects, I offered to try and fix it. I was going to replace the switch for them and possibly take apart the whole board and turn it into a hot swap. It’s a Corsair K70 pro, like around $150 keyboard. They were considering it junk at this point, since a windows key is sort of an important key for windows users.

Turns out, they had windows lock on 🤣

They thought their Corsair keyboards are just junk and kept breaking. Said that it’s happened to them twice…. I’m really hoping they still have the other keyboard now.

Glad I tested it first, would have been very hard to fix a fully functioning keyboard.

Hope someone can enjoy my silly story, and don’t forget to check your lock functions. Post typed on the keyboard that was supposed to be fixed. Also apparently some of these keycaps are in the wrong place. ; and ‘ are flipped ;)
