Hi! I’m upgrading my corn snakes enclosure and I’m looking to make it really pretty :) My girl currently uses actual reptile hides but she only likes to go into one of them and it’s way too small for her now so I was gonna grab a new one plus some decorative items. I’ve seen a lot of videos on people suggesting thrifted items and sanitizing them extremely well, so I went to my thrift and picked up some items. Should these items be okay to use? I’ve seen mixed opinions on what can/can’t be put into enclosures. I have a two tiered glass cake stand, pink ceramic bowl, and a dish I would like to use as a hide. I’m assuming these items are all food safe since they were intended for food use and I checked for chips + sharp edges already and it’s all good there. Opinions?
