54M

Contracted 2nd covid mid January, didn't even know I was infected until my son tested positive and thought I'd do a RAT test,  bang.  Took a whole bunch of garlic cloves to get ahead of it. Tested positive for only 2 days.  Thought, great, dodged a bullet..

3 weeks later, anxiety kicked in hard.  I am no stranger to anxiety but this was a different beast.

My first infection was mid 2022, so hauling 3.5+ years now..

Un-remarkable apart from runny nose, mild head ache.  10 days later,  I was shaking like WW1 soldier shellshocked. This lasted a few days.  Then came the entire body  nerve vibrations, humming like a guitar string with a seperate nerve issue I can only best describe as a ticking sensation.

Head turned to each extreme has shudder as well as jaw chatter when teeth lightly touch.

When laying on pillow, I could hear a “ticking" due to congestion at approximately 7hz by my guess. Brain zaps on cusp of falling asleep.   Fine motor skills were gone, walking ok but up/down stairs a little jittery.  Mid afternoon, needed to crash for a few hours.  Low grade temp for months.

All this was just irritating at the start  and thought it will pass.  Wrong,  after endless trolling and buying enough supplements to put each employee at I\*\*\*b into a Maserati, did not get better.  Had a head MRI 6 months ago, all clear.  So I'll just have to accept and adapt.

2nd Infection , Anxiety crept in and was now in full control.

Saw Doc says "just anxiety", prescribed venlafaxine (baby dose to start) 1st day slept, great.  2nd day was shaking/trembling. Known side effects but this is what I'm trying to treat.  I could not continue.

Easily startle to sounds and touch now.

Had a neuro consult 3 weeks ago, examined me and an assessment was made of enhanced physiologic tremor. No further investigation was suggested so I took that and ran with it.   Prescribed propranolol.  This seemed ok for a couple days but insomnia and reflux (gerd dx) was brutal.  So tapered off.

New symptom arrived when I stopped- Muscle twitches, nerve zaps/tingling all over for a few days. They have subsided but still have lingering symptoms.

I’m wondering if anyone else has had simular experience with this drug in the context of twitches / zaps.?

I walk 4km every morning just to take my mind off from my nervous system issue but after that, the mental / physical energy is gone.
