Kubota L3410 hydrolic leak
Hello all,
I have a Kubota L3410 that has been running fine and showing no problems other than a small hydrolic fluid leak.
I found the cause of the leak to be the Hydrolic inlet pipe that runs from the casing to just behind the hydrolic filter on the right side of the tractor.
Replaced the pipe and chose to replace the filters since I had to drain all the fluid anyways.
Found two ball bearings and what I have determined is a piece of the casting that is inside where the filter screws into place.
My friend who I bought the tractor from, and who fixes and sells them as a side job, says that if it wasn't running badly or showing any signs of problems, I can likely put it all back together and it wont cause any real issues. Says the ball bearings may have fallen in during a previous repair, and not actually be from the PTO.
He suggests installing all the new Compotent and new fluid and running it. Says that if it was going to be a major issue, I would likely have noticed a problem with the PTO or the front lift.
I am looking for either confirmation or advice on how, if, and what needs to be replaced. Sadly I am not very mechanically inclined, and would likely need to take it to my local Kubota dealer for service if it needs severe repairs, which I also cant really afford right now.
Please help
Thanks.
