I am a decent hiker and want to start backpacking. Normally I just hike with a camel back but I need to buy a big backpack..
What are some things I as a beginner should know? Things I want are the following:
Light
Not to big
Room to put stuff outside like clip on
Durable
Will last me a while
Can do different activities such as basic backpacking but also thru hiking and mountaineering
Some brands I’m interested in are Gregory, Hyperlight, Mammut, and the Summit Series.
