I have dense breast tissue. Got my first mammogram in December at age 43. Results looked normal but my GYN recommended a bilateral ultrasound for me to be extra careful. Last week They found ambiguous masses - one in each breast. Sent me for biopsies the next day.

I felt out of my mind for 24 hours - could hardly speak during the procedure and then tears just started. I got benign results in about 24 hours but have still been feeling waves of intense anxiety and crying after the whole experience. I feel like I should be relieved but the recovery is just an ongoing reminder.

My medical team was calm kind and caring. I just don’t feel okay. Is this a normal reaction?
