i've been going back and forth on this for a while now. i work in a hospital setting already, front desk stuff, and i keep seeing people in management roles and wondering if getting a healthcare management degree is actually the move or if it's just expensive paper at this point.
i'm not trying to be a doctor or nurse, i just want something that gives me more security and room to grow without having to restart my whole career. a few people i know went back to school for it and some of them moved up pretty fast, but others are still kind of stuck doing similar work as before just with more debt.
does the degree actually open more doors or does experience matter more in this field? also curious if it makes a difference whether you go for a bachelor's or go straight for a master's.
anyone here who works in healthcare administration or made this decision, i'd really appreciate some honest advice.
