Hello /worldofpvp,
I swapped from mage after 6 years on it to get a change of scenery and landed on warlock for this expansion. I absolutely love all 3 specs but I am apparently absolute garbage at it. I have always just set my goal at 1800 to get the elite transmog and then just played for the fun of it after that. I landed on 1980-something in the last season of tww in solo shuffle specifically. This season I cannot get past 1600 bracket.
Im having more success and fun in blitz for sure, but I dont want to just abandon shuffle.
I cannot find much success in shuffle as a warlock. I am always the kill target. I take defensive pvp talents like impish instincts, gateway, and I enjoy soul rip to be used offensively or defensively. As affliction I have to take jinx, so im usually running jinx, instincts, and soul rip.
My gear is at 287 pvp ilvl. I have embellishments. I have enchants.
I cannot kill anyone on any spec. I do millions of damage as affliction, way above everyone else, but nothing ever dies. As demo I can survive longer but the damage is low. As destro, I get constantly interrupted or targeted or CC'd or LoS'd so I just line up shards and hit unending resolve offensively to free cast and hope for a kill. Then if I dont get a kill, I die.
I fear the healer, or coil the healer, and curse combo where after they reach max distance I throw up curse of exhaustion to keep them away.
Can anyone give me some recommendations or tips that might help me have more fun?
