So, what was the first anime that you recall watching on Crunchyroll? When did you create your CR account? When did you first watch an anime on CR? Finally, when did you first recall finding out about CR?

It was May 14, 2006 that CR had its public launch. Though not the first anime streaming site, I think it was 1 of the first big ones. Regardless of how you think of the site, one cannot deny the impact it had on the industry.

The very first legal anime simulcast, "The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk", even streamed on CR. This was way back in early-April 2008. Many might take legal anime simulcasts as common practice today. Back then, that was a big game-changer.

Happy 20th public b-day to CR! So, what was the first anime that you recall watching on Crunchyroll? When did you create your CR account? When did you first watch an anime on CR? Finally, when did you first recall finding out about CR?

For me, the following applies: The first anime I recall watching on CR was the 2006 TV anime "Kanon". Second, it was at least mid-Nov. 2007 that I made my CR acct. Third, I saw that version of "Kanon" sometime in Nov. 2007. Finally. it was probably sometime in Oct. or Nov. 2007 that I first found about about CR.

Today is the 114th b-day of Universal Pictures, the oldest major American movie company. The anime ties to Universal include but not limited to the following:

a. Back when Funimation.com was still around, some anime titles would have the NBC Universal logo at the start. Animenewsnetwork.com/answerman/2015-06-05/.88849 helps explain this.

b. Universal Studios Japan has had anime-related rides, events, food, and merchandise.

c. There was a late-1980s anime called "Bionic Six" that aired in the USA. The TMS Entertainment, Inc.-made and produced series was distributed by NBCUniversal Syndication Studios back when that Universal company was called MCA TV. (Music Corporation of America TV).
