I am looking to get some advice when it comes to engagement ring choice as my partner and I are trying to decide what will be best for us. I have a ring that I really love and is very different antique ring that was my great grandmothers and is a 1920s art deco hexagonal ring with multiple smaller white and black diamonds. It is a bit on the larger side and currently wear it on nights out/special occasions, but unsure about a few things. The pros is that I do think it is very pretty, unique, sentimental to me(was my great grandmas then grandmas and my mom had it before she passed away a few years ago) and would save us obviously a lot of money. The potential cons is the wearability if I wanted to wear it daily(i work in healthcare and honestly don't think I would wear any engagement ring all the time), but also unsure if I want a separate engagement ring that will be sentimental in its own right. I have also always thought I wanted a black/salt and pepper engagement ring so that is the other option right now, but obviously the cost is higher. Has anyone here made a similar decision?
