I think it’s pretty accurate. The doc himself said that the pestilence can manifest in different parts of the body. And so does cancer. Maybe his medieval knowledge of medicine is why he thinks he can cure it with “balancing the humors” or whatever. Maybe if the staff just UPDATED HIS MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE he’d have cured whatever it is by now and calm the hell down!
