Lyft driving on lawns and other oddities
I rarely ride lyft, but 2/4 of my recent trips, the driver has thought when we reach the destination and I say something like "it's the house on the left" that the correct move is to, instead of pulling over, hop the curb, drive onto their lawn, drop me off and do a full loop on their lawn to exit. I was surprised and didn't know what to say/do so just left, but is this something that is now a common/expected practice?
One driver on the way back (not counted in the 2/4) decided to fully drive over my lawn as well, but there isn't a curb, so maybe they viewed it as as ok? I just got out of that one as well because in the few minutes the ride took he covered covid, how unfair CDL drug tests are, and other interesting topics.
Is this now something I should be clarifying before reaching a destination? My friends were rightly perturbed their lawn got driven all over. Both roads are very quiet and wide enough to easily turn around on.
