How to get more pumpable setup

Hi, I got a Carver C5 and I really really like it!

Replaced the bushings to Ritide APS, and the wheels to Hawgs 60mm (78A).

I'm a beginner (skated as young) and for now, I don't have any ambition of skating in park / bowl, but rather to go slow and learn to get flow in carving and pushing.

I wonder if there is something besides switching to (Carver CX), to get some more propulsion from my attempts of pumping. I'm considering getting some bigger wheels with risers, and even switching deck. I know the best thing is to practice and I am doing that. But I also like experimenting with setups.

I heard so much about the Comet Cruiser, so perhaps go tell me how experiment with my setup to go closer to what I seen other riders experience. I get that the Comet Cruiser is a different bord entirely with flex-deck and wedging and perhaps the "combination" is the secret sauce.

Any thoughts are welcome, and I would like to learn and understand mostly what to expect and how things work (I'm an engineer).
