I wanted to give the pre-soak/laundry stripping thing a try. I gathered up 4 of my dingiest white shirts and tested 2 with OxiClean White Revive, and 2 with Arm and Hammer w/OxiClean. I got the water as hot as possible and added the recommended amount of powder. 12 hour soak occasionally agitating with a wooden spoon. I washed them in the machine after.

I am stunned by the results. My dingiest white shirts became my cleanest white shirts. Any sticky residue is gone and the shirts feel softer/lighter. Overall I would say the OxiClean White Revive got them a shade or two lighter, but the Arm and Hammer did well regardless.
I was so impressed by the results that I ended up giving the treatment to all my 20+ year old sentimental shirts and they came out fantastic. I highly recommend.
