Was being dumb and a bit intoxicated camping and wasn’t following knife rules. Happened about two years ago. Pics of the surgical repair at a rural hospital by ER doc, and post healing at a few weeks and 2 years later. He did opt to use a patch from my medial palm to graft it “so you can have something of a fingerprint there”. Wouldn’t have gone to the ER if I didn’t nick an a small artery(arteriole?). X-ray said I barely missed the bone. Thought someone would find it interesting.

Oh and also, a little Fing chipmunk was nearby and as soon as my finger tip hit the ground he ran with it.

The doc did want to refer me to a hand surgeon a few hours away but I opted for this since I didn’t want to ruin everyone else’s trip with my stupidity. It’s numb in that one spot but otherwise fully functional.I got VERY lucky

I have no idea what happened. They don’t know where my barrel is, and the varnish on the stock is messed up. This was my first ever Bullet McShooty. I guess I’m happy the receiver and everything else is intact but like, what.

Edit: yes I’m annoyed, yes I should try to get money from them, yes I should do this or that but for reasons in the comments I will not. I will take it all apart and inspect everything before buying a new barrel. I just thought my mistake in judgement would make yall laugh.

Edit 2: they are druggies NOW. They weren’t then. Try getting a straight story from them 3 separate times and you get 6 different stories, and no money and only wasted effort. I’d rather just laugh it off best I can and move forward.
