Munch Squad

I have recently seen a lot of people complaining about Munch Squad and saying it needs to end. Of course, people are allowed to not like things (I think it's fine, not my favorite bit, but I don't hate it), but a lot of the complaints I see are "if I wanted to learn about fast food, I'd just read the press release myself."

And like, that's not the point of the segment? Justin doesn't just read a press release and that's it. He reads it, doesn't allow them to riff on it, gets upset when they riff off each other, only he can make fun of the product, only he can barely mock corporate culture and capitalism while continuing to deepthroat Wendys with continued engagement. It's more than just, "reading a press release."

I also may be wrong, but part of me feels like doing it makes Justin's Autism happy (before people comment about me "diagnosing someone I don't know", there is an episode of Sawbones where Sydnee confirms that while not officially diagnosed, Justin more than likely is Autistic, and I have it on good authority Travis just might be bisexual, which would be a real surprise if he isn't), and hey I am happy to spend 30 minutes listening to the reading of corporate AI slop regurgitated up from the depths of fast food hell if it means making someone else happy (even if they don't know I exist but maybe one day they would find out about my existence and my defense of Munch Squad and come to my house in his pride parade ABBA outfit to let me get a drink of Juice straight from the nozzle).

Jesse Thorn has been dead for fifteen years

Think about it; has anyone actually seen him, or just photos and videos of a balding man with a Ras[utin beard who's appearance changes frequently? Why all the different facial hair styles if not to throw off the scent, keep the disguise from getting too stale? And who better to be the 'face' of the network and take up all the blame, ire and discontent than someone who cannot be made to face accountability because they're dead? MaxFun retains a 'spokesman' for the general public but escapes any critiques they have to take to heart.

In the following fifteen pages of single-spaced loose-leaf paper typed up at the local library annex where they never got rid of the 1980s typewriters, I will-
