These will be my first sea monkeys since I was a kid and I decided to go the DIY route. I got a 3 gallon tank but it looks like it holds about 2.5 gallons after I added my substrate and decor. I bought a packet of brine shrimp eggs online, and I only have standard kitchen measuring spoons. I was thinking of using about half of a 1/8th teaspoon, but I want to make sure that I start with a pretty good population. It's hard to estimate how many eggs will be in that amount. Do you think it would be too few? Too many?
