I noted there hadn't been one for the last couple years, so I'm jumping on it personally. Attached are my own gnolls/kholo through the years, not counting the random ones I played back in the days of 4e.

Ak'shaa is the bruiser I've used off and on, a 7 foot wall of muscle who's always some kind of figher or combo monk/fighter. Of late, I finally settled on a "vibe" and story and attached him to four other characters of mine in a sort of party within a story: Xiang Liu (kitsune sorceress), Yukio (tanuki cleric), Uruk von Zod (human magus/exemplar/something), and Saki Wu (kitsune ninja/monk). He doesn't say much, 'cause his Mwangi isn't good and broken. He speaks Tien much better though, and Xiang Liu speaks kholo very well. There's a reason for that.

Ghost, Murdy, and their parents are one big package. Murdy is my current Pathfinder character, and she and Ghost are both inventors (Ghost is an armor inventor, Murdy's a construct inventor). I put together Ghost because he was a potential backup/replacement character during the time when Murdy was dead and we didn't know if she would be coming back (we hadn't gone through the quest to get her back yet). They're both outgoing, he's just quieter. Murdy's the socialite and singer/musician (yes, I built a charisma inventor using a kholo, it's a cardinal sin as I came to discover).

She has a number of things going on with the other members of the group. With Bree (draxie sprite druid), they use their touch telepathy often enough that they've gotten deep insight into her broken psyche, so they're well aware she doesn't have the confidence left to feel like she can survive a fight (she's died and pseudo died 3 times, and been at death's door an additional 7 times, in only 1 and a half books, or less than a year in game time). Bree's also the one who gets most upset when she goes and does something damn foolish and overly brave that she shouldn't be doing, and gets almost as upset with her as Rafferty whenever she does almost get herself killed. (They probably don't realize all the criticism is eroding her confidence, but she understands it's coming from a place of concern and pain.)

With Rafferty (kobold rogue), she's had quite a lot of RP moments where they've bonded strongly; she adopted the rest of the group as brothers once they brought her back, and he's taken to calling her "big sis" more than the others. They've got the strongest and longest running prank war going between them, outside of her and Ghost. It's not shown, but Raff (she calls him Raff now often) would put jingle bells randomly in her things, so she took to tying them into her hair, did her hair up in braids, and tied them to the ends, while also making a jingle bell scarf out of the bells, which she also wears. Raff teases her every so often about adding bells to the Murdy Detection System. She got him a few times; once she managed to paint his face pink while he slept.

With Zip (goblin wizard), she started sharing in his bug eating passions and coming up with culinary foods including bugs (this upsets Rafferty to no end who is not a fan of bug eating, unlike literally the entire rest of the party). She's working on finding a way to include insects in her mom's seashell stew recipe.

F.L.U.F.F.Y. is her construct, and she built her when she only about 6, as a toy her father bought for her and Ghost. They built it together, but it was Murdy who finished the design. She since built a memory core gear that gave it pseudo-autonomy and has been tinkering and growing it ever since. It isn't supported in the game rules as-is, but she has a mission to eventually make it sentient.

Lastly, Flying Leaf is from Murdy's town. I've only played her once (in a 5e one shot so I had to convert her) but I had big fun busting out the kholo language in person. She's a cleric/bard with lots of support options, and is a bonekeeper's apprentice (Singing Tusk's top apprentice, in fact). She's also a sweet little girl, but not quite as much of a socialite as Murdy, but sharing her love of music and singing.

BUT ANYWAY.

Talk about your kholo! 'Tis the day for it.
