Hello! I’ve played pokemon digitally before so I know how to play, but never played the paper format. My main question is how does deck building work as far as competitive play goes? I’m a magic player, especially commander, and I’m used to taking time meticulously building decks. Is pokemon the same way or is it mostly built around buying a pre constructed deck and upgrading it? Is it even possible to build a deck from scratch that’s better than the pre constructed meta?
