Notebook Inventory
I'm a hugeee notebook 'collector'. Since I write/draw/note/dump a LOT, I don't consider it 'hoarding' because I know I'll get around to using all of them sooner or later. Anyway, recently I'd been a bit overwhelmed with not knowing which notebook to access at which time even though I have the ones I use regularly labelled. But I received a lot of new ones and I wanted to do a system overhaul. So I created an inventory on google sheets that lists all the notebooks that are in rotation or empty (haven't been retired - I have almost 20 years' worth of notebooks so manyyy are complete). It's pretty simple; cover - contents - % empty - paper type - lined/grid/blank/dotted - paper colour - cover type - binding - where/how i got them - year - location. The spread has really helped me sort out my collection in my mind and now it's much easier to reach for what I want exactly when I want it (:
